We Found An Effective Drug Rehab Center

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

So I found myself in a bad place. I was thirty four years old and I
was still living paycheck to paycheck. Didn’t have any money saved,
had a ton of debt. I thought maybe this was because of my drinking
and drug use. I didn’t do coke or harder drugs, I just stuck with
beer and whiskey and pot. I finally realized at thirty four years of
age that it was time to finally get myself clean and a contributing
member of society.

I started looking into drug rehab programs. I wouldn’t really
classify myself as a big time drug user, but many of these drug rehabilitation
centers offer inpatient drug rehab for those who suffer from alcohol
addiction, which is closely linked to drug addiction.

In Florida, drug rehab is easy to find if you go through the right
channels. They offer non 12 step rehab and holistic drug rehab, and
you go can get into contact with the drug rehab center through a
professional case worker, who will help you along the entire process
and will follow up with you when you have completed your time in
rehab.

Addiction Treatment Blog

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

There are so many different types of drug and alcohol treatment modules offered in the US.  Finding the most effective addiction rehab program is essential in the recovery process.  This addiction treatment blog has data about addiction, rehab, treatment, detox, counseling, and medical help.  Our goal at Alcohol and Drug Treatment is to provide families with referrals to long term addiction treatment centers that offer real help for drug addiction or alcoholism.  Many rehabilitation counselors will tell you that “our program is the best.”  Once a person has heard this several times from several different rehabilitation programs a person can become confused.  Our goal is to help give a non-biased referral to the most effective program based on the individual needs and wants.

Treating the physical cravings, emotional aspects of addiction, and mental cravings are all key components of effective rehab.  The best order when rehabbing a person from drug or alcohol would be detox first.  Once a person is detoxed than the drug rehab program would provide counseling to get to the underlying issues.  The final step would be life skills therapy and training procedures.  This will help the person how to live life drug and alcohol free.

Drug And Alcohol Educational Programs

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

At the rate we’re going in America, drug rehab centers will never go out of business. If it seems to you that we have at all put a dent in the illicit drug problem then your hopes will be dampened by the fact that prescription drug abuse has now reared its ugly head as an even bigger issue.

Back in the day, you perhaps noticed all your Grandmother’s medications would go missing when you brought certain friends over. Nowadays, doctors irresponsibly misdiagnose young children and adults and prescribe highly addictive medications which patients become dependent on. And of course there’s the crafty criminal and drug addict who knows how to abuse the system; he knows what to say to be diagnosed as “bi-polar,” so he can get some pills to take and to sell to his friends. In schools and on the streets, youth are confronted with both illicit and prescription drugs. Both highly addictive and both potentially deadly.

It is time for a nation-wide prevention campaign. While I whole-heartedly support effective treatment solutions (and have been blessed to have found the right program for both my husband and my brother), it is time for a national prevention campaign. If the American government wants to wage a REAL war on drugs, we need to start young by giving kids the truth about drugs.

Current prevention campaigns in schools are teaching children that drug abuse is inevitable along with “safe” methods to use drugs. This apathetic approach to educating children simply agrees with society’s moral decline and does nothing to PREVENT further drug abuse. A recent prevention campaign that a lot of programs that offered a non 12 step rehab study showed that children, when given the truth about drugs, decided not to use drugs and stayed off drugs up to two years after being indoctrinated.

Today’s children are tomorrow’s civilization. It’s time we look at what kind of world we are leaving behind.

Drug Rehab For Prescription Drug Addiction

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Prescription drug addiction is one of the biggest problems drug rehabs face today. More and more we see young people falling victim to drug addiction, but not by purchasing illegal drugs off the street. Instead, we have your teenagers opening up mom and dads medicine cabinet and not only getting high but also becoming addicted to these various forms of prescription drugs.

In a recent study, the Tampa Bay Tribune put out a statistic stating “prescription drug overdose was the number 2 cause for fatality in the state of Florida.” The number one reason was car accidents. That means that prescription drug overdose caused more deaths than smoking, suicide, and other causes. I would also be curious how the number of people who committed suicide were also under the care of psychiatric drugs. Over the last few years there has been a direct link with these high school shootings and them being on heavy amounts of psychiatric drugs.

What we recommend is don’t jump for a quick fix. We all go through highs and lows that is normal life. Depression, anxiety, anger, boredom, tiredness, enthusiasm, and grief are all common emotions in which we all experience. Some of us stay in these funks longer than others, but try something else, like going for a walk, trying out a new sport, changing your diet, enroll in a class, try a religion, or go shopping and spend some money. Do be afraid to live and take chances.

One thing to remember is if you find yourself addicted to prescription drugs there are programs out there that can help. Drug rehabs which specialize in prescription drugs offer effective drug rehabilitation can help any person needing to quit.

What Type Of Drug Rehab Is The Best?

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

Locating the most effective drug rehab program can be difficult to say the least. First, it is important to acknowledge you for taking the first step in either finding help for yourself or a loved one. If you are trying to find help for a loved one, going online to locate the most effective type of drug rehabilitation is essential in the road to recovery. Most of the time, a person who is suffering from drug or alcohol addiction is having a tough time to begin, and to expect them to be able to do research and make a good decision in finding a program that will work is kind of like expecting a baby to figure out math equations.

If you are a person who has a problem with alcohol or drugs and don’t know what to do or what to look for I will help guide you in the right direction so that you can find the best possible addiction treatment program available. Most people never take the first step in getting help which is recognizing that alcohol or drugs have become a problem. Now that you have realized this, reaching out for help is something most people never do because of fear of failure or fear of losing loved ones trust and friends. If that is the case, it is probably better off anyways that you are not friends with a person who would support you whole heartedly.

In finding good drug rehabs program, we recommend finding a longer termed program which will address all the underlying issues while still giving enough time to properly detox a person and also give them the life skills so that once they finish the program they can then go out and make good decisions and choices not only saying no to drugs or alcohol but also choosing good friends and putting themselves in safe situations.

The Best Drug Rehab Center

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

A drug rehab center is very important for people who have addiction problems. Most drug rehabs don’t offer any type of long term treatment that includes detox, counseling and life skills. Not to mention that most drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers are only 12 step programs or just offer some type of traditional treatment program. An rehabilitation center should provide a well balanced treatment program that addresses all aspects of addiction.

Just remember that not only will a person have a better chance in a residential center but they will also have the ability to training for life skills that will help when finding a job. Drug treatment is the way to go if you are addicted and having trouble with life.

Trying to locate the right rehab center is certainly not easy and can get very confusing on the internet. The best type of drug rehab facility should provide 24 hour nursing and a proper medical detox. Then that should be followed up with some type of cellular cleanse or anything that will help a person become more healthy to allow for the body and the brain to recover. Usually vitamin and mineral therapy accompanied with light exercise and a healthy diet is very beneficial. Again, an effective drug rehab center should provide all of these components.

Inpatient or Outpatient Treatment?

Sunday, May 24th, 2009

What type of inpatient drug rehab is the most effective and why should it include detox, counseling, cognitive therapy, and life skills. These are all valid questions and will be addressed in the post. Most outpatient rehab programs are of no use at all. They are just something that a person suffering from drug or alcohol addiction can do to keep the family members happy in a way that they may believe that he is getting help or doing something about it. Outpatient never works and the end result is a person who is back on drugs and alcohol.

So when asking about a drug rehab why should it be inpatient. Not to mention is a non 12 step rehab the best? Most drug and alcohol rehabs that do not use the 12 steps are the most effective type of rehabilitation because they do not believe that addiction is an incurable disease and they do believe that addiction can be overcome.

Remember that drug rehabs that provide effective detox, counseling, life skills and a therapeutic environment are essential for a successful recovery. Also finding a residential inpatient facility is always best. A non 12 step facility always has the highest success rate.

California Drug and Alcohol Treatment

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Have you been searching on the internet trying to find a California drug treatment program? Are you getting frustrated because every drug rehab you speak to says they offer the best type of treatment program? California has more drug rehabs than any other state in the country but also offers some of the most effective drug rehabilitation centers as well. Though many can be very expensive, some even offer a guarantee on the program.

A California drug rehab should offer a long term program in a residential setting. The program should be around 4-6 months that includes medical detox, biophysical treatment, cognitive counseling, and life skills therapy. Drug rehabilitation in California can be very expensive which makes it important to find something that is long term because there is no sense in investing a lot of money in a program that only lasts around 30 days.

Generally an effective drug rehab has a success rate of at least 75 percent. Sometimes it is better to leave your state that you are residing in. If you live in California it is at least smart to find something out of your area because changing a person’s environment is one of the first forms of treatment.

Arizona Drug Rehabs

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Are you getting frustrated at search all over the internet for Arizona drug rehabs? Have you had trouble finding the right type of drug rehab in Arizona? Well we can help find an Arizona drug rehab for you. Though many people decide to leave the state that they are residing in to find a treatment center that offers a fresh environment, and a long term setting, this does not mean that everyone is able to leave the state because of legal or financial resources. Most residential rehabs in Arizona offer 30 day programs and more of a traditional type of treatment modality.

Though there are many long term programs just outside of Arizona like California in which many families choose to get their loved ones into. When searching for a drug rehab program there are several things you should be looking for and asking. First you should make sure that it is long term and offers either a residential based or inpatient treatment. There is no sense in wasting your time on an outpatient program because these do not work. The next question is the success rate and that they do not load their patients up on more drugs and medications.
Replacement drug programs only create a bigger problem and do not offer a high success rate.

Once you have these questions answered than finding a drug rehab should not be difficult and if you are not able to locate an Arizona drug rehab than don’t get frustrated. Look out of state because the most important thing is finding a program that is effective and will work.

Holistic and Inpatient Drug Rehab

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs that offer a long term care are more effective than programs which only offer 21, 28, or 30 day programs. Its not to say that that shorter termed programs don’t work or that a person who is in a 30 day program isn’t doing the right thing, just looking at the success rate of long term drug rehabs they have a much higher success rate. Some of the long term drug rehabs even offer a success rate in the neighborhood of 80 percent in some cases even offering a guarantee on the program.

An inpatient drug rehab that is longer termed is the best way to go when trying to find an addiction treatment center either for yourself or a loved one. Drugs and alcohol don’t discriminate. They don’t pick and chose who they want to affect. Families who have a loved one addicted to drugs and alcohol know exactly what it is like to watch this path of destruction. Why do so many people become addicted and why can’t people just quit are questions asked that seem to never be answered.

The good news is there are programs that are looking to cure a person with dependence to drugs and alcohol rather than “treating” it for the rest of their life. These types of programs generally are called a holistic drug rehab. Holistic drug rehabs are usually very effective because they do not believe in replacement drug therapy which means putting a person on a prescribed drug to replace the drug a person is addicted to.
