Michael Jackson and Prescription Drug Addiction

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

The death of Michael Jackson has caused society to finally take a look at prescription drugs, and just how addictive and fatal they actually are. One of the biggest reasons we have so many people addicted to prescription drugs is the belief that a doctor knows all. One thing to look at is if you went to five different doctors regarding some type of unwanted emotional feeling, you would get five different labels, five different types of treatment to handle that problem, and five different types of medications, and five different dosages. The unfortunate thing about prescription drugs is that now you have a long term drug rehab that is cleaning up the problem.

If you have a loved one addicted to a prescribed medication from a doctor, don’t wait, get them into a drug rehabilitation immediately. The unfortunate thing about Michael Jackson was that not one of his family memebers or friends tried intervening and if they did, they went about it the wrong way. Letting a person “hit rock bottom” is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.

If you want to really know what killed Michael Jackson it was two things, the pharmacuetical industry and enablers. Everyone connected to Michael was afraid he was going to cut them off financially so they kept feeding him pills instead of putting together a professional drug intervention and then escorting him into an effective drug rehabilitation program.
