I am all about people doing whatever it takes to stay clean. If there is a better way than the 12 step program than more power to it. What I found by working the 12 steps is that I never really got over my resentments. I've done some alternative things in recovery and have finally found peace. Thank goodness! If a non-traditonal method works, great! if a traditional 12 step program works, great!! No two addicts are the same. I know many people who remain sober and great parts of society.
